Frequently Asked Questions
Are my uploaded images saved or sent anywhere?+
No. All image decoding and pixel data extraction occurs exclusively within your browser’s local HTML5 Canvas memory. No image data is ever transmitted across the network or stored on any server.
How do I paste an image directly from the clipboard?+
Simply copy any screenshot or image to your system clipboard, click anywhere on this webpage, and press Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on macOS). The tool will intercept the clipboard payload and render it immediately.
What image formats and file sizes are supported?+
SPECTRE supports standard web raster and vector formats including PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, GIF, and SVG. For extremely high-resolution images (e.g. >4000px), a working internal canvas ensures smooth, lag-free magnification without loss of sampling accuracy.
